Title: Sidewinder

My recent, favourite song! Sidewinder. An interesting name for a snake. Here are the lyrics:

I slide through the wasteland that's my world
My hunger takes your life, preyed on to keep me alive, yeah
Mercy's all that you need, mercy's empty in me

Can't you feel the poison rising out of the morning and clear through the night
You can feel my strength destroy you straight to the heart from the venomous bite

That's right I shed my skin tonight but my fangs are hard to hide
And you know that you're going to die, yeah
Mercy's all that you need, mercy's empty to me

Can't you feel the poison rising out of the morning and clear through the night
You can feel my strength destroy you straight to the heart from the venomous bite

I can't regret, can't escape decisions made for me, no control
Fire that burns and never dies, wrapped around I'll bury my fangs inside

Making my way through the night you're still in my sight
You're runnin' away cause ya know you can't hide
My instincts are cold blooded hate; to you I'm the bearer of fate
Wrong place and now the wrong time, now terror is all that you'll find

Can't you feel the poison rising straight to the heart from the venomous bite

Can't you feel the poison rising out of the morning and clear through the night
You can feel my strength destroy you straight to the heart from the venomous bite

I can't regret, can't escape decisions made for me, no control
Fire that burns and never dies, wrapped around I'll bury my fangs inside

Stay inside tonight - you're out there all alone
Vanish from my sites - venomous control
You can't make it right - my appetite has grown
Lost your final fight - no love will be shown

Awesome! I love it! Listen to it, and you'll love it too.

That's all for now... hope to see you again.

Title: Opinions

Hey.

Sorry for the delay. Just couldn't find the mood to blog. So now I forced myself to. Haha. And to remind myself that blogs are there for a reason, and well...

Forget it. I won't talk about that. In this blog, I gotta talk about something else...

Well, of course, A7X, what else!

I've been listening to their songs that I have yet to have and have read all kinds of comments on the band. Some good, some amusing but most just sucks.

Please. If you don't like even a bit of A7X, why bother listening to their amazing songs? To be able to like their masterpieces, you gotta appreciate the hard work behind them, you gotta respect the band, the individuals as a whole, complete package.

And if you are so damn good, then make your own damn songs.

You can't, can you? So just shut up and walk away.

A note of advice: take a deep, soul-searching look at yourself before you point your middle finger at others. You are not perfect too, so can the comments. Keep them to yourself.

If you listen to A7X and complain too much, then quit listening. Don't waste your time.

You know who you are. And you don't know every damn little thing about the band. Shed that air of 'I-know-everything', because you don't.

Ever heard of 'Think before you talk'? I suggest you practice that. Having your words shoved back into your mouth isn't fun. Not at all.

Opinions are opinions. Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion.

And guess what? This little entry you have read?

That is MY opinion.

Title: Diamonds in the Rough

Is anybody reading my blog?

Doesn't matter.

Wow.

A7X's new songs absolutely, completely, totally rock!! I love them soooo much! I only had 5 of their new songs, but it is never enough. I want ALL of them.

Demons.
Dancing Dead.
Girl I Know.
The Fight.
Until the End.

And I also like Tension, and I don't have that song. Sigh...

Most of their new songs have a morale, a story, a lesson behind them, and although they didn't rock that hard, not much screaming (none, actually) I just love them. The tune, the lyrics, the music... can't have enough.

Such songs, the ones that have much deeper meanings and hit quite close to home and at the same time are so pleasant to listen to you can't just have enough of them... they are like treasures. Diamonds from a band you wouldn't believe able to produce such great songs they put other celebrities to shame.

Seriously, slow songs like:

I Won't See You Tonight Part One
Dear God
Seize the Day
Warmness of the Soul

Diamonds indeed.

Well, I don't even know what I am rambling about. Sorta edgy, but an entry is an entry. Just to show that I am not yet dead.

Anyhow, just rock on, people.

Title: Avenged Sevenfold at Max Pavilion

Hey!!!

Yeah, yeah, I know I am supposed to type about this AFTER the concert ended, but what the hell... estranged from the wonders of computers I have to patiently, or rather, impatiently wait for the opportune moment to get this started and off my chest!

Hmm... I bought the early bird ticket priced at $75 at the fourth day. (Haha, that money was supposed to be used to buy my Raya clothes) and then had to wait for THAT day to come.

And it finally did.

Heck, I asked pratically everyone in my phonebook to accompany me to the concert but all of them could not make it. So, yes, in the end I had to head there on my own.

It's okay. I could do it.

As planned, I arrived there almost 3 hrs early. Donned on an A7X black and white T-shirt (after much coaxing from a particular friend) I made my way to the pavilion, and was all the way self-conscious because I was not the only one wearing the kind of shirt and was the ONLY one heading there ALONE. Haha! Felt so weird and nervous and scared.

And the people there... the fans... wow... I could not even begin where to describe. Well, then, I shall not.

In the end, I braved myself to approach a decent girl and we started to be friends. Suddenly I was not alone anymore. An by then the place we stood in started to be really, really packed. We were all squeezed in in anticipation for the damn door to finally open.

Phew. Remind me why I hated crowds. The heat, the sweat... I was certain at some point of time I felt fainted. Haha. But it was definitely worth it, because while waiting, the crowd entertained themselves by singing the national anthem (of all songs!), then the pledge (sooo not the time to show your patriotism!), and bits and pieces of some of A7X most famous hits, like Dear God, Bat Country, Unholy Confession etc, etc... Sometimes chants of A7X rang out, and I joined in for a while before stopping myself. Haha! I was almost overwhelmed with/by their passion for the band. It felt sooooo good!

Oh, I forgot, before the whole waiting started, there was actually a fight somewhere... until the police had to be called in... and the crowd started to crow... what the heck... I just rolled my eyes and purposefully not look at the incident. What a spoiler. But it sure didn't as hell dampened out spirits!

Then, when it was closer to 8pm, the crowd lost their cool and started to scream 'F*** You!' at the security. I just laughed. So amusing. Until the time we had to fight to get through the entrance and into the pavilion!

The wait was over, and the concert had begun! The opening act was from an unknown local rock band, and good as the songs were, we had to wait, again for A7X to appear on stage. And some people apparently got the guts to smoke in the air-conditioned pavilion! Then there was a flying sole that hit a poor guy right next to me on his cheek. Haha. Luckily it didn't hit me. And around 8.30, even after the opening act, we have to wait for another half-an-hour for the band to finally started! Oh, they sure love to keep us waiting, do they?

The first song was Critical Acclaim. Wow. And wow, I had to contend with the pushing and shoving and the damnable mosh-pits! Tolerated having my toes crushed, yep, I was so busy keeping my balance and defending myself and my friend from the wild, wild, crowd I couldn't enjoy the first two songs fully. Somewhere in the Afterlife, I finally lost my balance and the whole group of us fell. (So embarrasing!) Right in front of M.Shadows. (covers face with hands) Oh my God. So embarrassing!! And then my legs wouldn't move, wouldn't get up! They were so heavy. I struggled to get to my feet but they just refused to move! Then a guy leaned forward and extended a hand. I grabbed it and he pulled me to my feet. Argh! I thanked him, and then started to fight my way to the back of the crowd.

Oh, the horror of being somewhere in front! I was nearly stampeded!

From the back, the view, the air was MUCH better and clearer. If only I was at the back right from the start... Anyhow, I enjoyed and sang and bopped my head to the beats of Unholy Confession, Seize the Day, Scream and a song sang by Zacky Vengeance (songs not in order... some I even may have missed here.) Then the time had come for me to leave! Damn curfew. When I left a7X played Bat Country... And I heard someone muttering about the stupidity of not staying till the end of the concert. If only they knew!

Sigh... what an experience... of being in my first ever concert, of seeing M.Shadows in flesh and he is sooooo hot!, and of enjoying live music.... wow... a priceless experience.

Alright, gotta rock off... Am late for home!

Catch ya later, and as soon as I can!

Rock on, rockers!

Title: 'Lost' Song in my A7X Folder

Hmm...

There is a song who has lost its way to my A7X folder in my MP3. At first, I thought it was one of A7X's songs. Don't blame me. A friend of mine who gave me that song labelled it as 'City of Evil', when it is obviously not, because when I tried to search the NET for the lyrics, it was a futile attempt.

S0, using what little lyrics I caught from the 'lost' song, I put it in Yahoo search and tadaa!

That song is actually...

Wings of Lead, by Bleeding Through.

(smacked my forehead and groaned)

Anyhow, I can always pretend that the song is sung by A7X, and the song is great anyway.

Hey, don't look at me like that. I am not a hardcore rock/metal or whatsoever fan like those out there, so yeah...

Now... let me think on what to put in this blog...

Signing off and still thinking

Title: Avenging Angel of Vengeance

Hey.

Yeah... gotta admit... Avenged Sevenfold is what I listen to recently...

And perhaps I am crazy about them enough to start out a blog...

And yes, crazy enough that I have bought the ticket to watch them on Oct 24, Max Pavilion at 8pm. So not gonna miss it for the world!

I'll stop here for now.

As I, the Avenging Angel of Vengeance, has tasks to do.
